What is tire identification number and where can I find it?

The Tire Identification Number is the serial number and manufacturing date of your tire. Each tire must be registered with the manufacturer in order to be used for safety standard certification and for tire recalls. You can easily find the Tire Identification Number by looking at the tire’s sidewall. The serial code starts with “DOT” and followed by the 8 - 13 characters that represent its date of manufacture.

What is the proper load rating for my vehicle?

Automobile manufacturers run through some tests to know the maximum weight capacity of your tire depending on its size and pressure. Load rating is identified in alphabetical order and can be found on the sidewall of your tire. You have to look for the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating of your vehicle which can be found in the owner’s manual.
